As a cooperation between the Robert F. Kennedy Foundation and IG Halle Rapperswil, SPEAK TRUTH TO POWER is not just a photo exhibition, but a commitment to human rights education. The exciting compilation of three photographic positions provides insights into the topic of power and human rights from different perspectives. At the center of the exhibition are human rights activists portrayed by Pulitzer Prize winner Eddie Adams for Kerry Kennedy's book Speak Truth To Power: Human Rights Defenders Who Are Changing Our World. IG Halle has the opportunity to show these portraits exclusively as the first institution in Switzerland. Zurich-based photographer Luca Zanier gives unusual insights into areas of concentration of power in his series «Corridors of Power». The deserted spaces, with their cool, geometric aesthetics, their perfect symmetry and order, form a polarizing contrast to Paolo Pellegrin's war photographs, which document the consequences of violent exercise of power for the individual.
